Lol, it’s been a while since you heard from the State. Yeah, life happens sometimes, and we wish it weren’t so. But there’s little we can do, right?
We’re approaching the end of 2024, and it’s not been as productive as 2023 (undoubtedly our best year ever), but there’s a lot that’s been released. And this little update is to let you know the recent releases. There’s some awesome tales that have landed on the State, as well as some long-awaited final seasons of legendary series. Let’s get into it!
HEAVEN’S MERCENARIES (POWER COUPLE SEASON 3)
One of the State’s greatest stories is coming to an end. Not just yet, as this is the first half of the final season (Kay intends to stretch us a bit, doesn’t he?), but we’re almost there. In this season, don’t just expect the answer to the question we’ve been asking since the end of season 1. Expect some major twists and turns! The tale of Caris and Carol is heading toward a thrilling conclusion, that’s for sure!
THE SHOWROOM (SEASON 2)
After the end of the first season where we saw Wilson’s origins in the ministry while wondering what is in store for him, there’s a lot to wonder about. Not to mention the presence of Erasmus in all this and what his connection to the church family is. Does Season 2 answer any of these questions? Well, you’ll have to get to reading it to decide for yourself. But do know this: the story goes deeper and deeper, and as far as Archbishop Rhamses’ plans for the McQueen family are concerned… well, you’ll see.
CUES CORNER (SEASON 3)
Another epic series comes to an end, and honestly, this season might just rank among the best the State has seen, alongside Season 1 of Power Couple, Season 2 of Meet The Dolphynes and Options n Upshots… yeah, Cues Corner is certainly staking its claim as one of the best stories in Statelore.
Yeah, I’m probably waxing lyrical too much at this point. But I will say this: prepare for a roller coaster of emotions throughout this final season. Tragedy and joy in equal measure, and you will love every moment of it!
AVES POND
What happens when three different species of birds meet up at a pond created by rain?
Yeah, Dabar went absolutely crazy on this one. It’s one whimsical tale with underlying social commentary and quite a hilarious touch to it. It’s definitely not a story that’s been seen on the State, one of the most unique ever made. Absolutely worth the read.
HATITA OF NAIN
Another modern adaptation of a biblical story. Yep, the great and timeless ‘Emunah’ continues to inspire many other adaptations, and it’s not stopping any time soon.
As the name suggests, this is a reimagining of the story of the famous widow of Nain. Once you know her story, you what she went through, and this story walks you through that journey with her. Gear up for a heart-wrecking but ultimately triumphant story!
I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOU
This is an intense, mainly two-person tale that is thrilling to the core! See that evil smile on the face of the lady in the story’s artwork? You’ll find out why. It’s a fantastic study on the concept of shifting power plays and manipulation. Sounds academic, I know, but don’t worry, it’s definitely not an essay (I’ve written enough this year). It’s a great story.
